Jillian Wade, BM


Jillian Wade, born and raised in Columbus, OH, earned her B.M. in Vocal Music Education from Hope College. While at Hope, she toured with their premier choir across the Midwest, Florida, and South Africa. She also studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. After graduation, Jillian taught elementary music in Michigan before moving to Indiana.

In Indiana, she has taught elementary music and middle school choir, and took students at Indian Creek Middle School to ISSMA in 2023, where all three choirs earned a Gold rating. Jillian has been teaching voice and beginning piano lessons since 2020, and currently teaches through Meridian Music School in Carmel, IN. In the summer, she also serves as Music Director for the M3 Theater Camp in Carmel, IN.

To continue the development of her craft, Jillian is currently pursuing her M.M. in Choral Conducting at Butler University, under the tutelage of Dr. Eric Stark. In her second year at Butler, Jillian will serve as the Conducting Fellow for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for the 2024-2025 season.
